FM futures: Drivers of Change – Workplace vs Workforce

The very nature of work in the developed world is changing. A recent survey of Fortune 500 CEO’s found that 67% considered theirs to be a “technology company.” As with work, the workplace and workforce are in the midst of a revolutionary period of transition, the scope of which will fundamentally redefine the FM profession. Bringing together a selection of eminent figures, this session will cover the chicken-and-egg relationship between shifting staff demographics and increasingly agile work environments. Join this debate and explore the extent to which workplace transformation drives – and is driven by – profound change in the constitution of the 21st century workforce.

Moderator: Helena Ohlsson Skjeld – Region Skåne

Panellists will include:
Rory Murphy – VINCI Facilities and RICS
Rachel Permuth – Sodexo Corporate Services
Koen Matthijs – MCS Solutions
Sophia Tonne – WSP Group

The Next Generation Workspace: Creating a High-Tech Eco-System

Here East is one of London’s flagship legacy projects following the 2012 Olympic Games. Situated on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and comprised of three buildings, with a total of 111,500m2 commercial space, Here East is creating an eco-system where large and small companies collide, allowing them to benefit from one another’s scale and creativity. Detailing the journey from a press and broadcast centre to its current state, this session will focus on how Here East is redefining the workspace for the 21st century, in line with the needs and expectations of its diverse range of tenants.

Introduction: by Bill O’Neill - IFMA
Keynote Address: Andrew Roughan - Here East
